Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service

PTA put together our own volunteer activity for our students and families as part of our MLK Day of Service event on January 20, 2025. Because the school is closed in observance of the holiday, the event took place at North Landing Community Clubhouse from 10am to 1pm.

We made no-sew blankets for those in our community in need and made care cards for local cancer patients. We also accepted donations of hats and caps for those patients. Lunch and beverages was provided to all that attended courtesy of Pat Detweiler.

The blankets we made were dropped off at the warming shelter of nearby Transfiguration Catholic Church just in time for the freezing temperatures.

A special thank you to North Landing Homeowners Association for providing us their clubhouse free of charge to host this event.
