Dear Keheley Families,

On behalf of the PTA executive board, welcome to the 2021-2022 school year.  We are looking forward to a great year and getting back to “pre-covid” norms that we know our families are looking forward to.  Our PTA’s mission is to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.  We want to encourage all our families to help us this school year by becoming  PTA members, participate in and support the many PTA programs and activities we have planned through the year.

To make this school year a success, we need our village of parents to volunteer and help our kids get back to the new norm. I'm going to tell you how important it is to volunteer in your school. When my daughter was in kindergarten and I went to my first PTA meeting, the principal at the time made a comment that is always stuck with me:

When your kids are at school, and they know a parent is in the School, volunteering, working with staff, working with teachers, they're usually more well-behaved and attentive to their teachers, because they know you are in the school, you are volunteering, and they know you have direct communication with their teachers, face to face.

There are so many ways that you can get involved in your kids' education, and make memories with them neither of you will ever forget.  Many of our PTA members are full-time working parents, have multiple children, and other responsibilities in their life. We have volunteer opportunities that are before school, after school, and evenings.  We need our village of parents to help us create a family involved atmosphere that enriches our children's educational experience.

Please join us in getting our kids back to the new norm by making this an exceptional place for your children to learn and grow!

PTA Co-President
